**Nine-Year Fugitive in 2013 Murder Case Apprehended in Chennai**

**CHENNAI, May 31, 2025** – Sholavaram Police have arrested R. Subash, 32, of Redhills, after a nine-year manhunt following a 2013 murder case. Subash was wanted in connection with the murder of M. Muthu Prakash, 35, of Gandhi Nagar, which occurred on May 5, 2013, in Sholavaram.

Following the murder, police investigations led to the arrest of several individuals allegedly involved in the crime. A charge sheet was filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court- II Ponneri. However, Subash failed to appear for trial and had been absconding since then.
