**Fever Look to Rebound Against Sun Without Clark**

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Indiana Fever host the Connecticut Sun tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, hoping to snap a two-game losing streak. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Fever (record) are reeling from a 90-88 loss to the New York Liberty and an 83-77 defeat against the Washington Mystics. The task is made harder as they continue to navigate playing without star rookie Caitlin Clark, who is sidelined for at least two weeks with a left quadriceps strain. Veteran Sydney Colson started in Clark’s place in the previous game.

DeWanna Bonner, a key free-agent acquisition for the Fever, is expected to play a crucial role. In Wednesday’s loss, Bonner had a standout performance, scoring 21 points off the bench and surpassing 7,500 career points. Tonight’s game will be especially poignant for Bonner, as she faces her former team, the Sun, where she played from 2020-24 and earned three All-Star selections.

The game will also be a reunion of sorts for Fever head coach Stephanie White, who coached the Sun for two successful seasons before returning to Indiana. White, named WNBA Coach of the Year in 2023, led the Sun to back-to-back semifinal appearances. Several of her Fever assistant coaches also previously worked with her in Connecticut.

The Sun (record) are struggling, entering the contest winless in their first five games. The Sun’s roster has undergone a significant overhaul since White’s departure, with only Marina Mabrey and Olivia Nelson-Ododa remaining from last year’s starting lineup. Despite their struggles, the Sun boast veteran talent in Tina Charles, the WNBA’s second all-time leading scorer, who returned to Connecticut this season. Charles leads the Sun in scoring (17 points per game) and rebounding (6.6 per contest). Mabrey adds 14.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
