**Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 Auction Set to Ignite Mumbai**

Mumbai, [Date] – The stage is set for a high-stakes showdown as the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 Player Auction kicks off in Mumbai on May 31st and June 1st. All twelve PKL franchises will be vying to build formidable squads, with over 500 players up for grabs.

The auction pool boasts a mix of seasoned stars and promising newcomers, including released veterans like Pawan Sehrawat, Arjun Deshwal, Ashu Malik, Devank Dalal, Naveen Kumar, Mohammadreza Shadloui and Fazel Atrachali. International talent will also feature prominently, adding a global flavor to the competition.

Ahead of the auction, teams strategically retained 83 players across the Elite Retained Players (ERPs), Retained Young Players (RYPs), and Existing New Young Players (NYPs) categories.

Each team can field a squad of 18-25 players, with a maximum of four overseas players. Franchises will operate with a purse of INR 5 crore, adjusted based on prior retentions. Players are categorized (A-D) with base prices ranging from INR 9 lakh to INR 30 lakh.

A key change this season is the revised Final Bid Match (FBM) rule. Teams can now retain a former player for one or two seasons by matching the highest bid, fostering team continuity. Each team has three FBM cards, except UP Yoddhas who have two.

Kabaddi fans can follow all the action live on prokabaddi.com, the Pro Kabaddi Official App, and Pro Kabaddi’s social media channels. The auction promises intense bidding wars and strategic maneuvers as teams battle to secure their desired players for the upcoming season.
