**Driver Arrested for Morphing Minor’s Photo in Erode, India**

**Erode, India – May 31, 2025** – A driver from Sankarapuram, Kallakurichi district, has been arrested in Erode for allegedly creating and sending an obscene image of a 15-year-old girl. Manikandan, the accused, had become acquainted with the girl’s family during a visit to Erode, where they currently reside.

Police report that Manikandan used photo editing software to alter an image of the girl, creating an indecent depiction. He then sent the altered image to her via WhatsApp. The girl reported the incident to her parents, who subsequently filed a complaint with the Erode All Women Police Station.

Manikandan was arrested on Saturday under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. He has been remanded to sub-jail in Erode pending further legal proceedings.
