Fri May 30 23:00:00 UTC 2025: **Brewers Activate DL Hall, Option Promising Rookie Henderson**
**MILWAUKEE** – The Milwaukee Brewers have reinstated left-handed pitcher DL Hall from the 60-day injured list, the team announced Monday. To make room for Hall on the active roster, right-hander Logan Henderson was optioned to Triple-A Nashville.
Hall, acquired in the Corbin Burnes trade with the Baltimore Orioles last year, had been sidelined since February with a lat strain. His return comes after a rehab assignment this month, where he made four starts. The Brewers’ rotation has been plagued by injuries this season, with multiple pitchers, including Aaron Civale and Nestor Cortes, spending time on the injured list. Civale and Ashby have come off the IL in the past week, though Ashby has joined the bullpen rather than the rotation. With Hall back, and Brandon Woodruff potentially returning soon, the rotation is beginning to stabilize.
Henderson, despite a stellar start to his MLB career with a 1.17 ERA through four starts, was optioned to Nashville. While some fans questioned the move, citing Henderson’s strong performance, sources claim the team is focused on managing Henderson’s innings and developing his repertoire, as well as roster management during a busy part of the schedule. The move also gives Hall an opportunity to secure a spot in the rotation.
The Brewers, currently 26-28 and 4.5 games out of a playoff spot, may consider trading some of their veteran pitchers later this season. Several key pitchers, including Freddy Peralta, Aaron Civale and Brandon Woodruff, are in contract situations that could make them attractive trade targets. With young arms like Henderson, Tobias Myers, and Jacob Misiorowski in the system, the Brewers have the depth to potentially deal from their pitching surplus and bolster other areas of the team.
