The new 926-square-meter building includes passenger waiting areas, 23 shops, two hotels, a nursing room, a cloakroom, a time-keeper’s office, a police control room, and accessible restrooms.

According to Virudhunagar Collector Jeyaseelan, plans are also underway to construct a new library near the bus stand, with a budget of ₹1 crore. This modernization project aims to enhance transportation infrastructure and provide improved amenities for travelers in Rajapalayam.
