**Los Angeles, CA -** The ongoing custody battle between former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, has taken another turn with new court filings surfacing over disputes regarding their children’s medical care.
Williams, who was awarded full custody of their children’s healthcare in March, argues he shouldn’t be required to notify Drake-Lee about upcoming medical appointments. He is, however, obligated to inform her after treatments occur. This ruling has been challenged by Drake-Lee, who claims it infringes on her parental rights.

She argues she wasn’t given adequate opportunity to respond to Williams’ request for medical custody.
Williams’ legal team responded by asserting that he has the “sole right” to obtain orthodontic care for their daughter without prior notification, and that there is no emergency or immediate danger that justifies Drake-Lee’s requests. They dispute Drake-Lee’s claims of hearsay evidence influencing court orders.
The next custody hearing, originally scheduled for May 29th, has been requested to be delayed until July 10th due to scheduling conflicts. Williams and Drake-Lee, married from 2012 to 2017, finalized their contentious divorce and custody agreement in October 2020. The latest filings indicate the legal battle is far from over.
