**ITDA Project Officer Urges Improved Healthcare in Andhra Pradesh Tribal Areas to Combat Mortality Rates**

**PADERU, India – May 29, 2025** – M.J. Abhishek Gowda, Project Officer of the Paderu Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), is calling for enhanced healthcare services in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district’s Agency areas to tackle maternal and infant mortality rates.

During a video conference held on Wednesday with medical officers from 35 Primary Health Centers (PHCs), malaria wing personnel, and doctors, Mr. Gowda emphasized the importance of prompt registration of pregnant women. He directed medical authorities to ensure pregnant women are transferred to government maternity homes a week prior to their expected delivery date to guarantee access to quality healthcare. Specialized attention is to be given to high-risk pregnancies.

The ITDA Project Officer also instructed officials to conduct medical camps in remote hilltop hamlets, focusing on educating pregnant women about the benefits of institutional deliveries. He ordered the creation of three medical teams from each PHC to organize health camps in villages.

Addressing malaria concerns within the Eedulapalem PHC limits, Mr. Gowda urged the timely completion of the first phase of anti-larval spraying. With the onset of the rainy season, he further instructed officials to be vigilant against potential outbreaks of seasonal diseases.

ITDA Assistant Project Officer M. Venkateswara Rao, Additional District Medical Officer T.N. Pratap, and District Malaria Officer Tulasi were present during the meeting.
