**Train Service Extensions & Capacity Boosts Announced to Meet Passenger Demand**

**Belagavi, May 29, 2025** – Several Indian railway zones have announced extensions to special train services and permanent augmentations to coach compositions to manage increased passenger demand, according to an official release.

East Coast Railway confirmed the continuation of the Visakhapatnam–SMVT Bengaluru weekly special trains (Nos. 08581/08582) until June 30, maintaining their existing routes and schedules.

East Central Railway will also extend the Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru bi-weekly Express Special (Nos. 03251/03252) from June 1 to June 29 (Danapur to Bengaluru) and June 3 to July 1 (Bengaluru to Danapur). The Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special (Nos. 03259/03260) is extended from June 3 to June 24 (Danapur to Bengaluru) and June 5 to June 26 (Bengaluru to Danapur).

In a move to permanently enhance passenger capacity, South Central Railway announced the augmentation of the Kondaveedu Express (Train No. 17211/17212) from 21 to 22 coaches and the Amaravati Express (Trains No. 17225/17226) from 19 to 22 coaches.
