**United Airlines Announces Check-In Time Change for Domestic Flights**

**NEW YORK, NY –** United Airlines is set to implement a change to its domestic flight check-in policy, effective June 3rd. The airline will increase the check-in cutoff time from the current 30 minutes to 45 minutes before departure.

A United Airlines spokesperson stated that the change aims to “bring greater consistency” for travelers, aligning with the airline’s existing checked baggage deadline and the check-in policies of most other airlines. International check-in times will remain unchanged at one hour.

This announcement comes as the busy summer travel season approaches, with the TSA continuing to urge passengers to obtain REAL IDs, which became mandatory on May 7th. Passengers without REAL IDs can still use other acceptable forms of identification, such as U.S. passports, DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry), Department of Defense IDs, and permanent resident cards.

Travel expert Lee Abbamonte recently discussed air traffic control outages and Memorial Day travel statistics on “Fox News Live,” highlighting the importance of planning ahead.

The TSA advises travelers to arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours before scheduled domestic flights and three hours before international flights. Passengers without acceptable identification may be subjected to further screening.
