**TODAY Show Mourns the Loss of Sheinelle Jones’ Husband, Uche Ojeh**
NEW YORK, NY – May 23, 2025 – Uche Ojeh, husband of TODAY show co-host Sheinelle Jones, has died at the age of 45 after a battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The news was announced on TODAY this morning, leaving the entire TODAY family in mourning.
Ojeh and Jones shared a 17-year marriage and three children: Kayin, Uche, and Clara. Their love story began at Northwestern University in the late 1990s, where Jones, then a freshman, offered to show Ojeh, a visiting high school senior, around campus. They married in September 2007 in Philadelphia.
Ojeh was described as a devoted husband, loving father, and a man of strong faith. He was deeply connected to his Nigerian heritage and instilled those values in his children. An avid soccer player and choir member, Ojeh was a constant presence at his children’s activities, from soccer games to concerts.
“He loved those kids more than anything else in this world, and was just so proud,” said Craig Melvin on TODAY, highlighting Ojeh’s dedication to his family.
The TODAY family is remembering Uche Ojeh as a man whose bright spirit and unwavering love touched everyone who knew him.
