**THENI, May 28, 2025** – A fatal accident occurred on the Cumbum Mettu ghat road in Theni district on Wednesday, claiming the life of one individual and leaving ten others injured. The incident involved a jeep that overturned near the fifth hairpin bend of the road.
According to local police reports, Roshan Farooq, the driver of the jeep and a resident of Cumbum, died in the accident. The passengers, including plantation workers, sustained injuries and were promptly rescued by passersby.
