**Oilers’ Hyman Injured, Out for Remainder of Game 4 vs. Stars**

EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Oilers suffered a significant blow Tuesday night as top-line forward Zach Hyman was ruled out for the remainder of Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against the Dallas Stars. The injury occurred in the first period following a collision with Stars forward Mason Marchment.

According to ESPN’s Emily Kaplan, Hyman appeared immediately shaken by the hit, dropping his stick and seemingly favoring his right arm or wrist. He immediately headed to the Oilers’ dressing room and did not return to the ice.

Hyman has been a critical component of the Oilers’ playoff run, leading the league with 119 hits in 14 games. He has also contributed offensively with five goals and 11 points. His absence will be keenly felt, as he plays a key role on the team’s top line with Connor McDavid, as well as on both the power play and penalty kill units.

This injury compounds the Oilers’ forward woes. Edmonton was already without forward Connor Brown, who was sidelined after a hit from Dallas defenseman Alexander Petrovic in Sunday’s Game 3. Viktor Arvidsson had returned to the lineup as Brown’s replacement on the fourth line. The Oilers will now need to adjust their strategy and rely on depth players to fill the void left by Hyman’s departure.
