**Kamal Haasan Praises Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Launches Documentary on His Life**

**Thiruvananthapuram, May 28, 2025:** Renowned actor Kamal Haasan lauded Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the launch of a documentary film titled “Pinarayi the Legend” on Wednesday. The event, held at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, celebrated the fourth anniversary of the second Left Democratic Front (LDF) government led by Mr. Vijayan.

Haasan, addressing the audience in both Malayalam and Tamil, emphasized the importance of recognizing leaders like Mr. Vijayan who are open to criticism and dedicated to public service. Despite potential differences in political ideologies, Haasan stated that he and Mr. Vijayan share a common ground in their commitment to social welfare.

“We must encourage leaders like Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who are not shy of criticism and recognise them for their good work,” Haasan stated at the release.

Chief Minister Vijayan welcomed Haasan, acknowledging the actor’s strong connection with the people of Kerala and his dedication to social justice. He highlighted Haasan’s “Left mindset” and his commitment to the welfare of the people.

The 30-minute documentary, produced by the Kerala Secretariat Employees’ Association, offers insights into Mr. Vijayan’s life and political journey. The event also included a birthday celebration for the Chief Minister.
