**Hyderabad, India – May 28, 2025** – A 40-year-old man tragically died in Suraram, a northern part of Hyderabad, after his home was flooded during heavy rainfall late Tuesday night. Padma Rao, a driver residing in Dayanand Nagar, was found dead in his single-story residence after torrential rains caused water levels inside to rise to nearly three feet.
According to Suraram police inspector Bharath Kumar, Rao was reportedly sleeping on the floor and in an intoxicated state when the flooding occurred. His wife and children were not present at the time.
