While Commerce-related programs (BCom, BBA, BCA) remain highly sought after due to readily available job opportunities, colleges are reporting a significant increase in applications for Life Sciences, including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and Forensic Sciences.

College managements attribute this rise to Bengaluru’s burgeoning biotechnology sector, industry-integrated academic programs, and a growing inclination towards pure science studies. “There are a lot of start-ups and biotech companies growing out of the city and that provides more job opportunities to students,” stated Christo.
