**”Captain America: Brave New World” Lands on Disney+ After Lukewarm Theatrical Run**

Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: Brave New World,” starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson taking on the mantle of Captain America, is now available for streaming on Disney+. The film’s arrival on the platform comes after a theatrical run that, while earning over $400 million worldwide, has been considered a disappointment.

The film, which sees Wilson facing an international crisis after meeting with President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), has received mixed to negative reviews from critics, currently holding a 47% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 342 reviews.

Despite the critical reception, “Brave New World” does have its supporters. Writer Rob Edwards defended the film at WonderCon, stating, “Some of my friends who are critics, I said, ‘I think you guys missed it. I think you guys got it wrong.’ When the audience’s marks came in, everybody I saw said like, ‘Not only did I love it, but I brought my family to the next week.'”

However, with a reported budget exceeding $200 million after reshoots, the film’s performance is a far cry from the recent success of “Deadpool and Wolverine.”

Directed by Julius Onah and featuring a cast including Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson, “Captain America: Brave New World” offers viewers the opportunity to reassess the latest chapter in the MCU from the comfort of their homes.
