**Visakhapatnam, May 27, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh is poised to make a significant leap into the global digital creativity landscape with the development of a comprehensive AVGC-XR (animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality) policy. The state government aims to tap into the $531 billion global industry by 2030, positioning itself alongside established hubs like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

The policy aims to attract international studios, create local employment opportunities, retain creative talent currently migrating to other states, and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s media and entertainment ecosystem. Key figures from APDTI Network and the Andhra Pradesh Vfx Animation Gaming Association have already engaged with state officials to advocate for the policy’s implementation.
