**South Central Railway Enhances Track Safety Measures Ahead of Monsoon Season**

**HYDERABAD – May 27, 2025** – In preparation for the upcoming monsoon season, South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain has directed top officials to bolster track safety measures across the zone. The directive, issued today, emphasizes enhanced track patrolling through the deployment of additional Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and dedicated track patrolling staff at vulnerable sections, bridges, and areas prone to heavy rainfall.

The intensified safety protocols aim to proactively identify and prevent unsafe conditions caused by monsoon-related issues, as well as address potential sabotage. “Safety drives should be taken up in view of monsoon for strict implantation of the safety procedures to ensure safety in train operations,” said GM Jain.

Key areas of focus include ensuring the proper functioning of signaling systems to prevent failures during the rainy season and maintaining strict coordination in train operations. Particular emphasis is placed on passenger safety, with inspections of assets at all levels.

The adherence to standard protocols at level crossing gates and the operational status of CCTV systems across the zone, including private sidings, were also discussed to enhance security and transparency.

In addition to these safety enhancements, GM Jain launched version 2.0 of the e-DAS (Electronic Drawing Approval System). This updated system will streamline the management and approval of engineering drawings, promoting paperless operations, saving time and resources.
