**India Mourns Astrophysicist Jayant Narlikar, Celebrated for Inspiring Generations**
Pune, May 27, 2025 – Renowned astrophysicist Jayant Narlikar, who passed away on May 20, 2025, is being remembered not only for his scientific contributions but also for his dedication to science popularization and his profound impact on countless students. Narlikar, inspired by the likes of Michael Faraday and his mentor Fred Hoyle, dedicated much of his life to making science accessible to the general public.
