**2 Chainz Reveals Smoking Ban Around Eminem During Studio Sessions**
Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz has revealed a humorous anecdote about his time working with Eminem. In an appearance on “Club Shay Shay,” 2 Chainz explained that he was forbidden from smoking weed in the studio while recording with Eminem.
“When I did work with Eminem, I couldn’t smoke in there,” 2 Chainz stated. “It was kinda funny. It was his people, not Eminem.”
According to the rapper, Eminem’s team was highly protective of the Detroit legend. 2 Chainz recounted a story where he was smoking outside and then continued in the recording booth, only to be interrupted by Eminem’s concerned entourage.
“I come back in to do my verse and the door’s closed and I’m in the booth smoking and I see Em out there and I’m like ‘he in there while I’m recording, that’s hard’,” Chainz said. “He’s about to come in and say something but his people are like ‘no, don’t go in there, he’s smoking’.”
Interestingly, Eminem himself seemed unfazed by the situation. “Em looks like ‘sit the f*** down, what do you think I’m about to do?’ I remember them tripping on him and he was not tripping at all,” 2 Chainz recalled.
The two rappers have collaborated on tracks such as “Chloraseptic” and, most recently, “Kyrie & Luka,” a basketball-themed song produced by DJ Premier that references NBA stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. 2 Chainz continued the theme with basketball references in his verse.
2 Chainz has been busy this year, having recently released “Life is Beautiful,” a collaborative album with Larry June and The Alchemist, his first project since leaving Def Jam. He also has a joint album with Statik Selektah planned for release before the end of the year.
