**Nagaur, Rajasthan -** Nagaur is preparing for a vibrant celebration of Shani Jayanti on Tuesday, with various religious programs planned across the city’s prominent Shani temples.

The Shani Jayanti आयोजन समिति is organizing events at the ancient Shani Mandir in Bhargav Mohalla. Ashok Bhargav of the committee announced a day of festivities beginning at 9:00 AM with Maha Abhishek, Navagraha Puja, and a Havan ceremony. A grand Shobha Yatra (procession) will commence at 4:00 PM, featuring devotional singing by Anil Devra of Jodhpur.

Meanwhile, at the Shani Dev Temple near Jada Talab, Priest Sukhdev Bhargav detailed a program including Bhajan-Kirtan, Havan, Prasad distribution, and a Jagran (night-long vigil). He highlighted the annual tradition of a Shobha Yatra with live depictions of scenes from Shani Dev’s life, attracting devotees from across the district.

Monday saw the commencement of festivities at the Jada Talab temple with a Navagraha Puja followed by a Havan.

Tuesday’s main events will showcase performances by renowned artists including singers Dinesh Nagauri, Manohar Rao, Praveen Akhepura, Manish Kalru, Anu Solanki, and Nirma Saraswat. The Shobha Yatra will feature captivating live tableaux designed by artist RK.

The program for Tuesday includes:

* **6:00 AM:** Havan Purnahuti (completion of the fire sacrifice)
* **9:15 AM:** Kalash Yatra (procession carrying sacred pots) starting from the temple and proceeding through key city landmarks including Collectorate Chouraha, Purana Zila Hospital Chouraha, Naya Darwaza, Banshiwala Mandir, Hathi Chowk, and Rampol, before returning to the Shani Dev Temple.
* The Shobha Yatra will feature representations of Lord Shani Dev, Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Hanuman, and the Navagraha.
* **5:00 PM – 9:00 PM:** Prasad distribution
* **Following Prasad:** Jagran (night-long vigil)
