**Kansas Jayhawks Baseball Team Awaits NCAA Tournament Fate: Fayetteville a Popular Prediction**
Lawrence, KS – The Kansas Jayhawks baseball team will gather together on Monday morning at 11 a.m. to watch the NCAA Tournament Selection Show and learn their postseason destination. While the official bracket is yet to be released, several prominent baseball publications have made their predictions, with the Fayetteville Regional hosted by the Arkansas Razorbacks emerging as a frontrunner.
Arkansas, who finished second in the SEC behind Texas, boasts impressive rankings, holding the fifth spot in both the D1 Baseball poll and the RPI.
D1 Baseball projects a Fayetteville Regional lineup of #1 Arkansas vs. #4 Little Rock, with Kansas’s placement unconfirmed.
However, other outlets offer alternative scenarios. Baseball America predicts a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, with the Jayhawks facing East Tennessee State in the first round of a regional hosted by the #21 Volunteers. On3 is the only publication that has the Jayhawks in the Athens Regional, playing in a regional hosted by Georgia. Just Baseball also has KU as the number two seed in the Fayetteville Regional: #2 Kansas VS #3- East Tennessee State.
Popular college baseball podcast 11Point7, is predicting Kansas to be in the Arkansas regional. And the hosts all have the Jayhawks facing Creighton in the first round.
Beyond baseball, the Kansas Jayhawks are also making moves in basketball. Oak Park guard Corbin Allen has signed with Kansas. Former Jayhawks star Jacque Vaughn has been named as an assistant coach. Texas Tech transfer Darrion Williams is currently in Lawrence for a visit. The KU coaches are looking for one more defensive back and Robert Reddick has an official visit scheduled in June. Messiah Tilson is a versatile player who can play different positions in the secondary. He will visit Kansas in June.
Jayhawk fans are encouraged to tune in at 11 a.m. on Monday to witness the team’s reaction and officially learn their NCAA Tournament fate.
