**LAHORE, Pakistan** – The Lahore Qalandars delivered a crushing 95-run victory over defending champions Islamabad United in Friday’s crucial eliminator match, earning them a place in Sunday’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) final. The dominant performance at home secured Lahore’s third final appearance in the last four years.

Islamabad United struggled from the outset, chasing Lahore’s formidable 202-8. Missing key opener Alex Hales, their batting lineup crumbled under the pressure, ultimately being bowled out for a mere 107 in just 15.1 overs.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi spearheaded Lahore’s bowling attack with an incredible spell of 2-3 from his three overs, while Salman Mirza wreaked havoc in the powerplay, claiming 3-16. Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain also contributed significantly with 3-34. Islamabad’s batting effort lacked any real resistance, with Salman Ali Agha’s 33 being the highest score.

Earlier in the day, Lahore’s innings was anchored by a scintillating 50 off 25 balls from rookie opener Mohammad Naeem. Kusal Perera further bolstered the score with a quickfire 61.

The Lahore Qalandars, who are aiming for a hat-trick of PSL titles after their victories in 2022 and 2023, will now face the Quetta Gladiators in the final at Lahore on Sunday.
