**Bengaluru, May 25, 2025:** Basaveshwara Nagar police have arrested Vishnuvardhan, a delivery executive working for an unnamed e-commerce company, for allegedly assaulting a customer following an argument over an incorrect delivery address. The arrest, which occurred on Sunday, followed the circulation of a video depicting the incident.
According to a First Information Report (FIR) filed by Shashank S., a resident of Basaveshwara Nagar, the incident occurred on May 21st. Shashank’s sister-in-law had ordered groceries through a quick commerce platform, and Vishnuvardhan was assigned as the delivery partner. Upon reaching the designated location, an argument ensued over the accuracy of the provided address.
“He scolded my sister-in-law in a high-pitched voice for giving an inaccurate address, and when I intervened, he abused me and attacked me with his hands,” Shashank stated in his complaint. He further alleged that Vishnuvardhan punched him in the face, resulting in an injury to his left eye.
Police tracked down Vishnuvardhan, a resident of Vijayanagar and a II PU (Pre-University Course) student working part-time as a delivery executive, and arrested him. He was later released on station bail. The investigation is ongoing.
