Sun May 25 16:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Trump Continues Harvard Attacks After Court Blocks International Student Enrollment Restriction
**Cambridge, MA** – Former President Donald Trump is once again targeting Harvard University, this time questioning the origins and financial backing of its international student population. The attack comes just days after a federal judge blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to revoke Harvard’s ability to enroll international students.
In a post on Truth Social Sunday, Trump claimed that some of Harvard’s international students come from countries “not at all friendly to the United States” and contribute “NOTHING” towards their education. He further stated that his administration wants to know the identities of these students and alleges Harvard is being uncooperative.
Harvard has yet to respond to requests for comment.
This latest salvo follows a temporary restraining order issued by Judge Allison Burroughs, which prevents the Trump administration from revoking Harvard’s international student enrollment privileges. The university argued that the revocation violated the First Amendment and was a punitive measure for Harvard’s refusal to cede control of its governance, curriculum, and faculty ideology to the government.
Earlier this year, the federal government froze over $2.2 billion in grants and contracts to Harvard after the university resisted demands to alter its policies related to hiring and admissions.
Last week, former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem accused Harvard of fostering violence, antisemitism, and collaborating with the Chinese Communist Party, leading to the initial revocation order.
Harvard President Alan Garber hailed the temporary restraining order as a critical step in protecting the rights and opportunities of the university’s international students, who comprise about 27% of the student body and are typically ineligible for federal financial aid.
A hearing to determine whether the temporary restraining order should be extended is scheduled for Thursday. The ongoing dispute highlights the contentious relationship between the Trump administration and Harvard University, with the latest attack focusing on the institution’s international student body.
