**Mumbai, India** – Veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s legal team has officially responded to the controversy surrounding his departure from “Hera Pheri 3,” following reports of a legal dispute with Akshay Kumar, who stars in and is producing the film.

Anand & Naik, Rawal’s legal representatives, stated that Rawal’s exit was due to the production’s failure to deliver a complete story, screenplay, and formal agreement. They claim that Rawal terminated his involvement and returned his signing amount of Rs 11 lakh with interest.

The statement comes after Rawal announced on X (formerly Twitter) that his lawyer, Ameet Naik, had sent an “appropriate response” regarding his “rightful termination and exit,” suggesting the matter would be resolved.

Reports had surfaced that Akshay Kumar filed a lawsuit against Rawal, alleging that the actor’s departure caused financial and logistical setbacks for the film. However, Rawal’s lawyers deny these claims, stating that the production accepted the returned monies, making any alleged financial losses untenable.

Rawal himself has denied creative disagreements with director Priyadarshan as the reason for his exit, citing that the character of Babu Bhaiyya no longer appealed to him. The future of “Hera Pheri 3” remains uncertain.
