**Kerala Launches Initiative to Cultivate Young Math Geniuses**
**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – May 25, 2025** – The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Kerala has launched a new initiative, Nurturing Mathematical Talents in Schools (NuMaTS), designed to identify and develop exceptionally talented math students. The program was inaugurated today by Dipankar Banerjee, Vice Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). SCERT director Jayaprakash R.K. presided over the event. Keynote address was delivered by retired professor E. Krishnan of the University of Kerala. The NuMaTS program aims to provide enriched learning opportunities for students who demonstrate a natural aptitude for mathematics, fostering a new generation of problem solvers and critical thinkers.
