Reports of problems began to surge around 2:30 p.m. EDT, with users reporting issues with the website, the app, and difficulties connecting to servers. DownDetector.com, which tracks online outages, showed reports peaking at over 5,800 around 3:30 p.m. EDT before beginning to subside later in the afternoon.
