Fri May 23 14:00:00 UTC 2025: **News Article: SRH Set Massive Target Against RCB in Lucknow**

**Lucknow, India** – The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are on track to post a massive total against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after a blistering batting performance in their IPL 2025 match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

After RCB stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma won the toss and elected to field, SRH got off to a flying start, led by Ishan Kishan who smashed a half-century in just 28 balls. While SRH lost wickets at regular intervals, their batsmen consistently went for the big shots, maintaining a high scoring rate.

Abhishek Sharma was the first to depart after scoring 34 off 17, quickly followed by Travis Head (17). Kishan anchored the innings, while Heinrich Klaasen (24) and Aniket Verma (26) provided crucial cameos. Abhinav Manohar and Nitish Reddy were dismissed cheaply.

RCB’s bowlers struggled to contain the SRH onslaught. Kagiso Rabada, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Krunal Pandya, Suyash Sharma and Romario Shepherd each managed to pick up a wicket, but struggled to keep the scoring rate down.

With five wickets down, SRH are aiming to set a formidable target for RCB. The match was originally scheduled to be played in Bengaluru, but was moved to Lucknow due to the onset of monsoon. RCB, who have already qualified for the playoffs, are looking to secure a top-two finish.
