**Las Vegas, NV** – Rod Stewart, the iconic singer behind hits like “Maggie May” and “Do You Think I’m Sexy,” will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs). CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced the news Tuesday, also revealing that Stewart, 80, will take the stage for his first AMAs performance in over two decades, since 2004.
“Sir Rod Stewart is a master showman whose charisma and energy have defied time,” said executive producers Barry Adelman and Alexi Mazareas. “We are looking forward to another epic performance on the AMAs stage as well as celebrating his incredible body of work.”
Stewart’s illustrious career boasts over 50 Billboard Hot 100 hits and 16 top 10 chart-toppers. The upcoming AMAs performance follows a busy year for the rock legend, including a performance at Glastonbury and the North American leg of his “One Last Time World Tour” this summer. He also has a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Stewart isn’t the only music icon being honored at the 2025 AMAs. Janet Jackson will receive the ICON Award, recognizing her undeniable cultural and global influence. Jackson will also perform, marking her first televised performance since 2018.
The 2025 AMAs, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, will air live from Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. The star-studded event will also feature performances by Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Gloria Estefan, Benson Boone, Lainey Wilson, and Reneé Rapp.
