**Wienermobiles to Race at Indy 500 in Inaugural ‘Wienie 500’**
**Indianapolis, IN –** The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) will be a hot dog haven this May as Oscar Mayer prepares to launch the inaugural “Wienie 500” ahead of the 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. On Friday, May 23rd at 2 p.m. ET, all six of Oscar Mayer’s iconic Wienermobiles will compete in their first race in over a decade on the very same track as the IndyCar pros.
The race, which will be streamed live on the FOX Sports app and across @INDYCARonFOX social accounts, will see the Wienermobiles sporting all-new looks, each representing a different regional hot dog style: Chi Dog, New York Dog, Slaw Dog, Sonoran Dog, Chili Dog, and Seattle Dog. Spectacle and a condiment spray in the ‘Wiener’s Circle’ will accompany the competition.
“The Indy 500 marks the unofficial kickoff of summer and the start of hot dog season,” said Kelsey Rice, brand communications director at Oscar Mayer. “It’s only fitting that we bring a race of epic proportions to the Speedway.”
