Thu May 22 15:30:00 UTC 2025: **Diddy’s Sex Trafficking Trial: Kid Cudi Testifies About Threats and Arson**
**Manhattan, NY** – The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs continues in Manhattan federal court, with rapper Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, taking the stand Thursday to testify about his past relationship with Combs’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and the alleged threats he received from the hip-hop mogul.
Prosecutors allege that Combs engaged in decades of abuse, coercion, and sex trafficking, using his wealth and power to conceal his crimes. Combs faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail.
Ventura, who testified last week, described a decade-long relationship with Combs marked by violence. She testified that after Combs discovered she was dating Kid Cudi in 2011, he threatened to release compromising videos of her and vowed to harm both her and Cudi. She also told the court that Combs threatened to blow up Cudi’s car.
Kid Cudi testified that his car was set on fire in his driveway in Los Angeles in January 2012. He said law enforcement found a Molotov cocktail in the driver’s seat. He further testified about an incident in December 2011 when he returned home to find his security cameras moved, gifts unwrapped, and his dog locked in a bathroom.
Combs’s former executive assistant, George Kaplan, also testified, detailing violent incidents he witnessed involving Combs and Ventura, including one on a private jet where Combs allegedly assaulted Ventura with a whiskey glass. Kaplan described stocking hotel rooms for Combs with items like baby oil, lubricant, and illicit drugs.
The trial is expected to last eight weeks, with a jury of 12 New Yorkers and six alternates set to determine Combs’s fate. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
