Thu May 22 08:50:00 UTC 2025: **Headline: “Street Fighter” Movie Gearing Up with Star-Studded Cast? Momoa, Koji, Centineo & Reigns in Talks**
**Hollywood, CA** – Legendary Entertainment’s live-action “Street Fighter” movie may be assembling a formidable roster of talent. Deadline reports that Andrew Koji (“Bullet Train,” “Warrior”), Jason Momoa (“Aquaman,” “A Minecraft Movie”), Noah Centineo (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” “Warfare”), and Roman Reigns (“Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” WWE Superstar) are in talks to star in the film, based on the iconic Capcom video game franchise.
While Legendary has declined to comment on the reports, Kitao Sakurai (“Bad Trip”) is set to direct. He takes over from Danny & Michael Philippou (“Talk To Me”), who were originally attached after Legendary acquired the exclusive film and TV rights to the “Street Fighter” IP.
Capcom, the developer and publisher of the original “Street Fighter” games, is co-developing and co-producing the film. Details about the plot, writers, and producers remain under wraps.
“Street Fighter,” first launched in 1987, is a global phenomenon known for its one-on-one battles between diverse martial artists. The games often revolve around a global fighting tournament orchestrated by M. Bison, the leader of the sinister Shadaloo organization. The franchise has sold over 55 million units worldwide, solidifying its place as one of the best selling video game franchises.
Koji, who has built a strong reputation in action roles, is slated to appear in “Worth the Wait” and the heist series “Haven.” Momoa is coming off the success of “A Minecraft Movie” and has upcoming projects including “Chief of War” and “Animal Friends.” Centineo, recently seen in “Warfare,” has established himself as a bankable star, while Reigns is a prominent WWE personality and a veteran actor.
The potential casting of such recognizable faces suggests Legendary is aiming for a large scale adaptation of the source material. No roles have been identified as of yet.
