**Tulsa, OK -** A partnership that many in the WWE Universe believed to be a glimpse into the company’s future has abruptly crumbled. On Monday Night Raw, May 12, 2025, the promising tag team of Roxanne Perez and Giulia seemingly dissolved after a backstage altercation following their loss to WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
Commentary during the match highlighted the potential of Perez and Giulia, labeling them as future cornerstones of the women’s division. Despite a strong showing, the duo fell to the established team when Ripley pinned Giulia after the Riptide.
The cameras captured a tense exchange afterward, Perez suggested speaking with WWE Official Adam Pearce. However, Giulia dismissed any idea of working together, declaring to Perez, “There is no ‘we,'” and walking away leaving Perez stunned.
The split is particularly noteworthy considering both women’s trajectories. Roxanne Perez, a former NXT standout and the inaugural ROH Women’s World Champion (under the NXT banner), made her main roster debut at the Royal Rumble 2025, but often referred to as NXT Talent.
Giulia, a decorated Joshi star, signed with WWE in late 2024/early 2025 and rapidly transitioned from NXT to Raw. Her arrival and pairing with Perez had excited fans, but after this explosive break up, all eyes are on what this may mean for a future heated singles rivalry.
