According to Google, this feature is currently an “experiment” with a limited set of popular national channels, but the list is expected to evolve and expand over time. The company plans to gradually roll out the custom Multiview feature, with local channels being added in the coming months. Subscribers who don’t see the option immediately shouldn’t worry, as access will be expanding soon.

This announcement comes alongside plans for a separate “Always-On” Multiview featuring local ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC channels. This pre-configured Multiview is slated for release sooner than the custom option, providing immediate access to local news and programming.
