**Puri, Odisha – May 19, 2025** – An investigation is underway into alleged espionage activities involving Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and her purported links to a Pakistani citizen. Malhotra was arrested on suspicion of sharing sensitive information.
Puri Superintendent of Police Vinit Agrawal confirmed the investigation, stating that authorities are “verifying each and every information available” and are in contact with Haryana police and other agencies. He also mentioned an alleged connection between Malhotra and Odisha-based YouTuber Priyanka Senapati, promising a thorough investigation into the matter.
According to police sources, Malhotra allegedly met a Pakistani officer named Ahsan-ur-Rahim (alias Danish) in Delhi in 2023 and subsequently traveled to Pakistan twice. She is suspected of sharing sensitive information during these trips and having meetings arranged by Rahim with Pakistani security and intelligence agencies.
Malhotra’s father, Haris Malhotra, acknowledged that his daughter made YouTube videos and visited Pakistan. He is demanding the return of his family’s confiscated devices and documents. He said that police first came to their house on Thursday (May 15, 2025) and have taken their bank documents, phone, laptop, and passport.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as authorities continue their inquiries. The case raises serious national security concerns, prompting a multi-agency collaboration between state and central police forces.
