Mon May 19 16:19:11 UTC 2025: **Heritage Foundation’s Anti-Semitism Plan Accused of Masking White Nationalist Agenda**

**Washington D.C.** – A controversial policy paper from the conservative Heritage Foundation, titled “Project Esther: A National Strategy to Combat Antisemitism,” is facing criticism for allegedly using a pro-Israel stance to advance a white nationalist agenda. The report, released on October 7, 2024, the one-year anniversary of the start of Israeli attacks against Gaza, proposes measures that critics argue would criminalize dissent against Israeli actions and suppress free speech.

The report labels the “pro-Palestinian movement” as a “global Hamas Support Network (HSN)” and accuses it of being “supported by activists and funders dedicated to destroying capitalism and democracy.” Critics point out that there is no evidence to support the idea of a organized “Global Hamas Support Network”. The Heritage Foundation also appears to have invented “Affiliated Hamas Support Organizations (HSO)” which includes Jewish Voice for Peace.

Critics also point out that the project appears to focus on left-wing criticisms of Israel, while ignoring white supremacist antisemitism.

According to the New York Times, the Trump administration has already begun implementing policies that align with “Project Esther’s” recommendations, including threats to withhold funding from universities that allow pro-Palestinian activism and efforts to deport legal residents who express solidarity with Palestinians.

Despite its stated aim of combating antisemitism, “Project Esther” has reportedly struggled to gain support from major Jewish organizations, with some sources suggesting that the plan was primarily assembled by evangelical Christian groups. Some American Jewish leaders have warned that concerns about Jewish safety are being weaponized to weaken institutions, like higher education, due process, and freedom of speech.

Critics argue that the Trump administration’s embrace of “Project Esther” is driven by a desire to promote a white Christian nationalist agenda, which instrumentalizes Zionism and antisemitism charges for its own extremist purposes.
