**KANNIYAKUMARI, India – May 18, 2025** – The Kanniyakumari district police have intensified efforts to prevent road accidents by cracking down on heavy vehicles violating speed and time regulations. Superintendent of Police R. Stalin has implemented a series of precautionary measures, including continuous vehicle checks throughout the district.

On May 18th, authorities took action against 18 heavy trucks for entering the district limits at excessive speeds and ahead of schedule, in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act.
