**Power Outage Hits Columbus’ Northeast Side, Leaving Thousands in the Dark**
COLUMBUS, OH – A significant power outage on Columbus’ Northeast Side left thousands of residents without electricity Friday afternoon. According to an AEP Ohio outage map, approximately 1,400 customers were still without power as of 4 p.m.
The outage, initially affecting 5,279 AEP customers beginning at 12:16 p.m., is concentrated in neighborhoods located on either side of Morse Road, east of Hamilton Road. Crews are working to restore power, and the number of affected customers has decreased since the initial report.
