**HUBBALLI, INDIA – May 15, 2025** – The Alignment Approval Committee (AAC) of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has given the green light for the Navalgund Bypass Road project in Karnataka, bringing relief to residents and commuters struggling with traffic congestion. The ₹327 crore project will construct a 10.575-km bypass around Navalgund town, where the National Highway currently creates bottlenecks due to its narrow passage.

Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi, announced the approval of the alignment and Detailed Project Report (DPR), stating that it paves the way for the Karnataka state government to begin the tender process. He highlighted that the bypass was proposed as a solution to the persistent traffic problems plaguing Navalgund, where locals and motorists alike have expressed frustration.
