**Telangana Officials Seize ‘Herbal Fever Guard Syrup’ Over Misleading Claims**

**HYDERABAD, May 15, 2025** – The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) has seized stocks of ‘Herbal Fever Guard Syrup’ in the Adilabad district after determining that the product’s marketing violated the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954.

The action followed a raid on a medical store in Adilabad on May 14th, where DCA officers discovered the syrup being sold with a label claiming it could cure “all types of fevers.” The product is manufactured and marketed by International Herbal Corporation Private Limited, based in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

Authorities contend that the product’s label constitutes a misleading advertisement, a practice prohibited under the 1954 Act. This law specifically prohibits advertising medicines as treatments for conditions like fevers in general. The Act forbids individuals from participating in the publication or circulation of such advertisements.

According to an official release, stocks of the syrup were seized immediately. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
