**London, May 13, 2025** – A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following an investigation into three fires in north London, one of which occurred at the former residence of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command officers are leading the investigation due to the property’s connection to the Prime Minister.
The fire at the Kentish Town property, in the area Mr. Starmer represents in parliament, was reported in the early hours of Monday, May 12th. Police are also investigating a vehicle fire in the same district on May 8th and a fire at the entrance of a nearby property on May 11th, exploring potential links between the three incidents.
The suspect, arrested Tuesday morning, remains in custody and is being held on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. While Mr. Starmer and his family have since moved to 10 Downing Street, the targeted property remains significant due to its association with the Prime Minister.
