**NEW DELHI** – The Indian Navy has been placed on full combat readiness following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, according to Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod, Director General of Naval Operations (DGNO). Speaking at a press conference today alongside other top military brass addressing Operation Sindoor, Admiral Pramod announced the mobilization of the Carrier Battle Group, surface forces, submarines, and aviation assets.

The Navy’s swift response included multiple weapon firings in the Arabian Sea within 96 hours of the attack, aimed at validating crew readiness, armament, and equipment effectiveness. Admiral Pramod concluded his statement with the Navy’s Sanskrit motto, “Sham no Varunah” (“May the Lord of Water be auspicious unto us”), emphasizing the service’s commitment to safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
