**NEW DELHI** – The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have extended the application deadline for their Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment drive. Initially set for May 11th, 2025, the deadline has now been pushed to May 19th, 2025. This extension also applies to the fee payment and application correction window, which will now remain open from May 14th to May 22nd, 2025.

A total of 9970 ALP positions are available across various railway zones. The positions offer a starting in-hand salary of ₹24,904. The age limit will be calculated as of July 1st, 2025.

Candidates must possess a 10th-class pass certificate and an ITI certificate in specified trades (like Fitter, Electrician, etc.) from NCVT/SCVT or a diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering from a recognized institution.

The application fee is ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories and ₹250 for SC, ST, EBC, women, and transgender candidates. Detailed vacancy information per railway zone is available on the RRB website. The admit cards will be released four days before the exam date.
