**COIMBATORE, INDIA (May 13, 2025)** – The Mahila Court in Coimbatore will deliver its verdict on Tuesday in the high-profile Pollachi sexual assault case. Nine men stand accused of multiple charges, including rape, gang-rape, blackmail, and criminal conspiracy against eight women, one of whom was a 19-year-old college student. The offenses allegedly occurred between 2016 and 2018.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigated the case and brought charges against the accused. The accused, currently lodged in Salem Central Prison, will be brought to court under heavy security for the judgment, which will be delivered by Judge R. Nandhini Devi in a special court established for the trial. The police have implemented extensive security measures in anticipation of the verdict.
