Tue May 13 08:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Pakistan’s Claims of Airbase Attack Debunked by India

**NEW DELHI** – Pakistan’s claims of a devastating attack on India’s Adampur Air Force base have been categorically refuted by the Indian government. Pakistan alleged that its JF-17 fighter jets, equipped with Chinese technology, disabled the base for a year, destroyed an S-400 missile defense system, and inflicted significant casualties. They further claimed to have destroyed fighter jets and radar stations, killing 60 Indian soldiers.

However, Indian government sources have dismissed these claims as fabrications, citing evidence of manipulated satellite imagery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Adampur base this morning served as a powerful counter-narrative. Photos released show the Prime Minister interacting with soldiers at the base, with the S-400 missile system clearly visible in the background, demonstrating its operational status. This marks a rare public sighting of the advanced Russian-made system.

Sources indicate the S-400 successfully intercepted several of the missiles launched by Pakistan last week, during retaliatory attacks following India’s Operation Sindoor. This operation targeted nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). While Pakistan launched retaliatory attacks on multiple Indian military installations and civilian areas across Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, the damage inflicted was minimal according to Indian authorities.

India has provided satellite imagery showing damage to several Pakistani air bases, including Nur Khan Air Base near Islamabad. These strikes, according to Indian officials, targeted technical infrastructure, command centers, radar sites, and weapons storage areas.

In a televised address, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s commitment to retaliate against any further ceasefire violations and ruled out future talks with Pakistan unless they center on the return of PoK and the dismantling of terrorist infrastructure. The US reportedly facilitated a ceasefire following the initial exchange of attacks.
