**Hubballi, Karnataka, May 13, 2025** – Five new Namma Clinics were inaugurated in the Hubballi-Dharwad East Assembly constituency on May 12th, bringing much-needed healthcare access to local residents. The clinics, part of Karnataka’s initiative to improve primary healthcare, were opened by MLA and Karnataka Slum Development Board (KSDB) Chairman Prasad Abbayya.

Mr. Abbayya highlighted the significance of the clinics, stating they will serve as vital healthcare providers for the poor, reducing strain on the KMC-RI Hospital. He contrasted the current expansion with the single clinic operational under the previous BJP government, emphasizing the Congress government’s commitment, evidenced by the ₹5,597 crore investment in healthcare over the last two years.

The new clinics, located in M. Aralikatti, Soniya Gandhi Nagar, Padadayyana Hakkala, Medar Oni, and Janglipet Waddar Oni, will offer a range of services, including care for pregnant women and newborns, disease screenings, and general outpatient services. Mr. Abbayya stressed the importance of proper maintenance and warned against any negligence or corruption in their operation.

The inauguration was attended by District Health Officer Dr. S.M. Honakeri, Municipal Commissioner Rudresh Ghali, and other officials. The opening of these clinics marks a significant step in improving healthcare accessibility for the residents of Hubballi-Dharwad.
