Tue May 13 07:08:40 UTC 2025: ## CBSE Board Exam Results 2025 Expected Soon; New Relative Grading System Implemented

**New Delhi** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 10 and 12 results for the 2025 academic year soon, likely in mid-May, based on previous years’ timelines. The official date and time are yet to be announced. Students can access their results via the official websites: cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in, using their roll number, admit card ID, school code, and date of birth. The board has cautioned against relying on unofficial sources for result information.

This year marks a significant change in the CBSE assessment methodology. A new relative grading system has been introduced for the 2024-25 academic session, aiming to reduce academic stress and unhealthy competition. Unlike the previous system with fixed grade ranges, the new system compares student performance relative to their peers within each subject, resulting in grade distributions that vary depending on the number of students who pass.

Over 42 lakh students appeared for the 2025 board exams, which were held between February 15 and April 4. Class 10 exams concluded on March 18, and Class 12 exams ended on April 4. Last year, the pass percentage for Class 10 was 93.60% (20,95,467 out of 22,38,827 students), while Class 12 saw a pass percentage of 87.98% (14,26,420 out of 16,21,224 students). Students are advised to remain patient and check only official channels for updates on the result release.
