**Hyderabad, May 13, 2025:** The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds across Telangana for the next three days.
The forecast indicates scattered thunderstorms and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) in some districts today, May 13th. Similar conditions are expected on May 14th, with wind speeds increasing to 40-50 kmph. Heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and strong winds (50-60 kmph) is predicted for several districts on May 15th.
Meanwhile, the IMD reported widespread rainfall in the Nicobar Islands over the past 24 hours, with heavy downpours in some areas. They anticipate further intensification of rainfall in the Nicobar Islands over the next 24 hours, with a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain locations. Favorable conditions are developing for the southwest monsoon to advance into the Andaman Sea, the South Bay of Bengal, and parts of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands by tomorrow.
The department also predicts that maximum temperatures will be 2-3 degrees Celsius below normal for the next three days. The IMD forecasts further favorable conditions for monsoon advancement in various regions of the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal in the coming 4-5 days.
